How is Citigroup now? – Do you want to know how city group is? Okay I will give you some information about Citigroup last year first. In the fourth quarter of 2008, Citigroup posted a net loss of $8.29 billion dollars primarily due to write-downs and losses in securities and banking.

Restructuring costs also took their toll, although 52,000 job losses over the year — 29,000 in the fourth quarter — helped to reduce expenses. During the 2008, Citigroup reported a loss of $18.72 billion dollars.

Now, Citigroup has announced plans to divide into Citicorp and Citi Holdings. They said that the split would help the company focus on its core business.  Citigroup agreed a loss sharing program with the U.S. govt. covering $301 billion.  So, what do you think of Citigroup now?
