My wife had no credit when I got the loan, but she has credit now and I want to add her to the loan, but to do so I will have to refinance. This could hurt my score? But could help my intrest rate. (Currently 13%) My credit has also gotten better since the loan. It’s been 7 months now, I heard I should wait until a year.

Like is it credit score, credit history, current debt, collateral?

I know it is backwards but we have a house here in NC with a VA loan. We want to buy a house when we are stationed in Alaska…and naturally we want to use our VA loan without selling our house in NC.

So can we refinance to a conventional loan and release the VA certificate in order to use it in Alaska?

When I first got my auto in March 2006 my interest rate was 17.9% I refinance in September 2006 with E-loan for a rate of 11.04% we recently bought a home and our finally establishing some credit. So I think its time to refinance again. Does anyone recommend a great place to get a great rate?

In this day of recession and economic downturn with no upside, all I hear is that people should refinance now. An example: If a home in 2006 is worth $365,000 and has an interest only loan of $365,000, in 2009, it is now worth $290,000 (-$75k less), should he/she refinance? Now unless they come up with the 75k difference, no bank is going to offer a mortgage with over 100% LTV. Any thoughts on this???!??!

I am tring to refinance my auto loan , but the only place that I came across is StateFarm. Are there any other places that I can look into?

Car loan is 17000 dollars apr is 17 %.
Dealer told me that i can refinance in 4-6 months, but i think he lied to me. Bank told me that i can refinance only once.
So 4 months passed.
SHould i try to refinance it or wait at least 12 months???

How come one can refinance cars, houses, loans, etc, except student loans. You get a consolidated rate versus refinancing a student loan
